Great Bank

Old National Bank is a great bank. The workers are very nice and helpful. They are always willing to help if you have a problem. Their fees on checking accounts are very low and manageable. I have not had one problem with Old National bank and I have been using them for 8 years.

GREAT BANK

The things people complain about can usually be easily avoided in my opinion. If you use a good old fashioned check register, know the bank's policies (when your deposit will be available, whether or not you agree with it, the policy is in place regardless), then you should be able to keep track of your balancing, thus not spending money you don't have, thus not getting overdraft fees. You can't solely rely on at ATM receipts or online banking to keep track of your balance...unfortunately these methods don't know which checks your have written that are outstanding or even some payments that you initiated that haven't posted to the account yet. Until checking accounts can obtain psychic powers, the only fool-proof method of not overdrawing is to know the policies, keep a register and don't spend money that isn't in your account. As for overdraft fees, from my understanding they post high to low, which can be to the benefit of the customer if they are negative because the most expensive thing (ex:mortgage) is deemed the most important, therefore, it is least likely to get returned. This is just my opinion, take it or leave it.

Old National Bank

I opened a bank account with Old National two months ago. It is a basic everyday checking account. I have no issues with card fees or account fees, as they are fairly reasonable. My issues have mainly been with receiving my statements and setting up direct deposit. My employer requires a specific kind of letter from the bank verifying my account numbers, and even though I have visited the bank's location five times and called them on the phone several times, I have been unable to obtain the proper paperwork to set this up. As a result, I am not using this bank account as much as I had hoped, and the main reason I set it up isn't able to be fulfilled due to the bank's not having the ability to print a letter for me. I also have yet to receive any statements. When a statement is emailed to me, it simply reads that there is no statement found. The bank is unable to print me a statement at the branch, either. The customer service is very poor and I feel as though they are "shuffling" me out when I visit the bank.

Old National Bank Worst Bank I Have Ever Dealt With

Do not open a account with this bank. It is the worst bank I have ever dealt with. I have a six month stop payment in place and they continue to send the payment to this company. I have filled the form out twice and hand delivered it and they still pay it. They made me delete my on line account and create a new one, which completely wiped out the bill pay I had set up, lost access to all of the transactions then sent a payment to another company that was set up in the deleted account. This payment was not set up in the new on line account they made me create. So they are making payments to two companies that are not authorized by me. When I call them they tell me they have no idea how the payments are being made and I should contact the company and ask them to refund the money. I cannot get away from this bank fast enough. Incompetence Zero stars And don't bother with calling customer service they are obviously not trained well because not not one of the many I have called and dealt with have been of any help in fact several have made it worse. Again Zero stars

Idiots Pretending To Be Accountants.

I don’t know where to begin because this is the worst organization to exist with trash service. It was a mistake to transition the brand name from First Midwest to Old National because this change screwed everyone out of account access. Don’t start an account with this company because they don’t know what they’re doing. They couldn’t upgrade their system to function in any meaningful capacity, so how they stay in business is a miracle. The only expectation you can have from this bank is chronic failure. Their online system is so ridiculously obsolete. Good luck to anyone who tries to read their bank statements. This is what happens when low-IQ morons are responsible for managing a company.

Go Anywhere Else

On 3/29/2023 a client of mine had a CD coming due. Current CD rates range between 4 to 5% . This bank opened a CD for her with a rate of .31% !! Yes less than 1/3 of 1 %. for 1 year. ( $ 23000 ) Anonymously I called to inquire about CD rates. Angie quoted me CD's as follows 9Mos 3.96% 18 mos 3.76 % 30 mos at 3.5% When I asked for a 1 year CD she gave me .31 % . I exclaimed " that makes no sense " It doesn't. Yet they gave my elderly unknowing client the.31% without adequately advising her. I would NEVER trust this bank. Old National absorbed all the long term clients from First Midwest Bank and perhaps legally altered the term scale capitalizing on the older scale. I am planning to contact a higher authority to find if a complaint can be filed.

Old National Bank A Terrible Bank For Savers

there is no question that Old National Bank is a terrible bank for savers. It is still paying only near zero interest on savings accounts when many other banks are paying at least 3 to 4%, and some as much as 5%. A bank that treats depositors' money as worthless is not the kind of bank to do business with. Old National is shameful

Unlawful Fees

I was with First Midwest Bank and had no issues. The merger happened and it went downhill. The Overdraft and Service Charge fees are actually illegal, and if you’ve been affected don’t just settle with having the fees reversed. You can join a class action lawsuit and get what you truly deserve from this fraudulent bank!!

Don't Use Old National Or UMB

Old National Bank recently sold its health savings accounts business to UMB Bank. Without any prior notice, they canceled customers' debit cards, making it impossible to pay health care expenses including Medicare premiums. The new debit cards were never received. Without the new cards, it was impossible to access our health savings accounts, Old National/UMB refused to rectify this situation, leading us to file formal complaints with the US Treasury Department. Don't do business with either of these ripoff organizations!

This Bank Is Fuckin Horrible!

I am closing my account! I been with First Midwest for 9 years, never had an issue. Soon as they Merge to ONB my account was comprised and $358 was stolen from my account. I receive a text message about the fraudulent activity, I called the bank right away and was told the dispute was put in and I had my card canceled and was told another card will be mailed out. 2 weeks later never received my new card, never received any email or notification about the dispute. I finally go into a local branch and come to find out the dispute was never put in. Since I was at the local bank I did get my new bank card, but never received it in the mail like I was told. The dispute was finally put in. It took another 2 weeks finally got a refund on my money. Here it is at this moment me and my husband went to the store and his card was declined. We tried to use mine, Declined! Haven’t received any texts or email at this moment on why my card is declined and of course it’s after hours so I can’t get a hold of anyone. I pray I don’t have any emergencies tonight or in the morning because my funds is on lock because if this terrible ass bank. I am done with their asses I’m switching my direct deposit to another bank that I just opened because I’m sick of their non-reliable asses!

Bad Experiance

The worst bank ever. I used to be a First midwest Bank customer for over 9 years, Never hade a problem. I Zell $200.00 to my Brother on the 20th of sep and today the 22nd of sep and the money on hold but they took the money from my account on the 20th . matter of fact i'm writing this while on the phone with ONB waiting for over 25 minutes on the line. i Called them yesterday and the agent told me it's Zell issue, I'm calling again today and still waiting for an answer after calling Zell and they couldn't help me since i have zell through the bank. Horrible customer service, bad phone waiting time.
