A fast paced environment where your coworkers feel like family. There is a clearly defined advancement structure through personal banker levels. But it's super hard to get a significant raise

Normal aspects of most banking facilities. Everyone has great attitudes, while the bank have a family feel. Overall Small bank so advancement is slow to management and other areas besides teller and various positions

and banked with VSB since I moved to TN in 2004. I like to feel like my banker knows me and that is certainly true here. And it does make a difference. A small bank like this is a little behind some of the others with technology and I'm okay with that. Other banks offered internet and mobile banking before VSB and I guess the next "big thing" with come a little behind some of the conglomerates but that's okay with me. My banker knows my name and I know theirs. I believe banking should be a relationship business and VSB is exactly that. (If I want a coffee house, I will go to Starbucks-good luck with that Cap One)

with all kinds of services with very friendly and polite employees then this is the bank for you. They treat you like a human being and not just like a account number. They greeted us when we came in,had a smile on their faces,eager to help you, and were proud to be at their job. All of the employees exceeded my expectations of what a visit at a bank would be. I just went in to be added to my husband accounts that he has there. Mrs Denise Patton was a big help,very caring, and a pleasure to be around. I even received a hand written thank you note from her. They even answered their phone with a friendly voice and help the customer solved their problems. So if you want a big bank with a hometown feel then this is your bank.

The staff know me by name and are super helpful. There are never lines here, no matter what time of the day I come. The tellers even fill out the deposit slips for you. When I've had issues in the past the staff stayed on top of them, communicated with me, and ultimately fixed the problems. When I was looking to refinance a loan, Chance (the employee I dealt with) was up front with me that he couldn't provide the terms I was looking for without wasting my time. For comparison, some of the other places I called tried to sell me something I didn't want (we can't do this but here's a crappier loan that will LOWER YOUR MONTHLY PAYMENTS kind of stuff). I greatly appreciated his candor. Parking is very good at this location. Bonus: the branch gives out popcorn sometimes. They also had a hot dog cookout once and I came and got free lunch.
