Trustmark is a small local bank in Mississippi. It's my first and only bank to use, but I have zero complaints about them. They're customer service has always been terrific; they helped me set up my first bank accont, and while I was away at college, they helped me decide which savings account would be best for my personal situation. They are so frinedly and personable. Their fees are very reasonable, and if I ever accidentally take over spend in my checking account, I can usually get them to waive the fee. They have reasonable hours and locations across the state including in my college town which has been very useful. They have an app that I use for my checking and savings account, and I'm able to use it to upload checks and manage my entire bank accont from my phone. I would reccommend this bank to anyone living in Mississippi.
I opened my first account with Trustmark in 1987. I had just graduated from high school and needed a free checking account. I still have this same checking account open from way back then and it has served me well, as has Trustmark Bank. Since that time I have had several CDs, a savings account, and a mortgage with Trustmark. The CDs paid good rates at the time compared to other banks, and I was pleased. I closed the savings account years ago, since I no longer needed it and the rates were almost zero. Over the years, the bank has acquired other banks and grown beyond the boundaries of the state of Mississippi, but I still have stuck with them. They seem to adapt to new technology well, but keep the local flair and customer service I have known and appreciated for so long.
Calling customer service is a nightmare. The IVR system is designed to irritate customers and make sure they can't talk to a real person. It is so bad this 30+ year customer is starting to look for a replacement Bank. Finally getting through it took three people telling me what they couldn't do .... Until I indicated I was going to start looking to replace them - then a few mediocre alternatives were offered.
