Rates - With a savings rate of 0.30%

Providence Bank ranks poorly compared to the national average. Providence Bank's one-year CD earns at a rate of 1.25% and the five-year CD has a rate of 1.60%, while its highest-yielding money market account earns at a rate of 0.30%. Given its noncompetitive savings rate, you should think about taking a look at other banks for savings accounts.

Fees - Providence Bank typically has extremely low fees

compared to the national average. With no monthly fee, Providence Bank is perfect for those who want a basic banking experience. Providence Bank does not refund out-of-network ATM fees, meaning you will be required to search for a Providence Bank ATM or eat the withdrawal fee.

I bank at three other banks.

Provident by far is the best Financial Company I deal with. I am closing my accounts in one of the other banks after 50 years of banking with them ( B of A ) because their service is so bad. Provident tellers are the best, always helpful and Cheerful. Rita the operations manager has helped me with several difficult problems. Thank you Rita and crew. It is good to bank with a local bank where your business is appreciated.

I was dreading having to go

in to the bank to close out some accounts due to a death. However the process went smoothly--and I was even given forms I needed that I didn't know enough to ask for. I truly appreciate the help and recommend this branch.

I just received the nicest apology

from Lauren at Provident Bank. She understood my frustration and was very appreciative of our business. SHE IS A REAL STAND OUT. Not too many people will call and apologize on their own. Thank you.
