We've had a CD before with them, and while it took awhile to open last year due to the demand, they kept us updated. Today we opened new CD's at 5.65% for 11 months, and they were approved withing an hour. Excellent service, and we've never had any issues with KS State bank Other banks can be difficult, but not KS State.

Nailed a 7 year 4.99% CD. Took awhile for processing, but worth the wait.

I have had no problems with Kansas State Bank. It is a little different creating a CD account online, then going into a bank branch. I think the Website could be more user friendly. No big deal when a CD just sits there. Not quite sure I would like the website for everyday banking. Kansas State Bank does have very competitive rates. Not thrilled they credit your account quarterly. CUSTOMER SERVICE: I found this funny and a great experience. Today is Saturday. I sent Kansas State Bank a secure message asking a low priority question. Within 5 minutes, I received a response. Did not expect any reply till Monday, at the earliest. I would like to give a shout out to Kansas State Bank for their customer service.

Opened a 2-year CD today and was easy to do. Had no problem with electronic pull from my funding bank account. There was place on form to add POD also, which a lot of online forms don't offer. Only hitch was where it asked how the funding bank was styled I put the "&" sign between my name and my husband's. Application said that wasn't right, then I entered both names with no comma or "&" between them and it went through. Called to make sure they got app and within 10 minutes of turning it in it was approved. Courtney at bank was very knowledgeable .

I was pleased with the CD account opening process. Pretty straight forward and Cortney was a great help. Like a few other banks and credit unions, they only credit interest quarterly. No external accounts are linked, even the account you funded the CD with. Guess you must have to have a savings account to link external accounts.
