I began banking at D L Evans Bank fifteen years ago. I had been banking at small banks like the Bank of Idaho that sold out and became a bigger, national bank at the same branch office. I noticed that small banks had disappeared and been replaced with Wells Fargo and Chase without the customer making a choice. D L Bank has been around since 1904, is family-owned, hasn't changed hands and it only has branches in Idaho. D L Evans Bank has all the features and benefits of a large bank and I can use any ATM no matter where I am. They don't lobby in Washington for changes in policy that would increase their profits, they just do business as usual with the people of Idaho. The last time I had to go into my branch to make a change in my account, I asked the representative I was speaking with if she knew of any plans for the bank to expand beyond the state and she said, "No. Our company will only have branches within Idaho." I am completely satisfied with my bank and would never consider changing, even though I get incentive offers all the time from large, corporate banks.
