This bank services my Alphaeon Credit Card

which offers a zero percent interest for 12 months with no interest if paid before the 12 months that was expiring on 5/20. I paid the balance on 5/14 using a convenience check and received confirmation that payment processed 2 days later. I even went online and it showed nothing due and as a result, my typical $450 monthly auto payment did not post on 5/16 since it was paid in full and still in good standing on that day. It was not until I received my statement on 5/28 expecting to see a zero balance that my previous balance grew by 2600 (all the back interest from the year at 0%). I immediately called C/S and after 2 escalations I was told they will not offer a courtesy extension for me to send in the money via a different means because I am past the expiration of the 0% period. Even though I have been a timely payer all along with auto payments and every attempt was made in advance of expiration to resolve the debt in full they would not budge. Its interesting how they can alert me by email that my payment processed on 5/16, but not alert me that the payment reversed on the day I still had a chance to make good and pay in full 5/20. To me that was because I still had the opportunity to take advantage of a 3 month extension on the 0% as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. I guess my one star rating and experience is in line with the other reviews found here on Yelp. I filed a formal complaint with the Consumer Finance Protection Bureau (CFPB) to see if I can get this poor experience rectified in a manner that they just extend the 0% by the 3 months they would have had they alerted me timely that my payment reversed. The only reason it reversed is because the check could not be processed via the online portal since it was a convenience check. They verbally told me that they did not receive that notification until 5/20 yet they had the ability to back date the reversal back to 5/14 which negates the email I received on 5/16 and what I saw when I logged in on 5/16. Had it really happened on 5/14 my auto payment would have processed on 5/16 because it was not turned off - it just didnt process because it was already paid. Comenity claims that they cannot honor the 0% extension since the interest already accrued as it is against FTC regulations. Seems highly unlikely especially during these times when companies are being forced to extend grace periods and not charge late fees especially for residents in certain states (for which I live). And I'll add that they even charged me a $29 late fee when it was they who turned off my auto payment because the payment was still credited to my account as of the date my auto payment would post. They refuse to even reverse that nominal fee and throw me a bone. So frustrating. I pray the CFPB can assist with resolving this lack of service I have received from this terrible company. I will most certainly close my account so that I do not have to do business with them in the future. Very Unhappy Customer in NY

Someone give Debra a raise

Someone give Debra a raise. I loathe talking to the automated voice message system when I have one question. As the title has stated, someone please give Debra a raise. She was friendly and straightforward.

I have found this app super easy to use...

I have found this app super easy to use. Everything from checking my balance to paying my bill. I have read some of the other reviews, but I have never experienced a problem. I make my payment through the app, get a confirmation #, and its really simple. I have even made payments ON the due date and have never received a late pay...Not sure why so many others are having issues...

Ever since Comenity Bank has taken over AAA visa

I have had to contact them 3 times, and it's only been about 3 months! I'll give them 3 stars for taking care of fees and interest that were applied to my account. They claimed my payment was late, even though the tracking for the payment said it reached them several days early. Why would it take them 11 days to process a payment check? I've never had to call a credit card company this often. I also do not appreciate having to wait on hold for over 30 minutes to talk with someone who can help. If my next review for them has any less stars, they'll know as I'll be canceling the credit card. Shape up Comenity!

No Trouble Here Either

Opened 5 yr CD Dec 7, no other previous relationship with Bread. Transferred the funds from Bank of America, since in my previous experience Plaid is dicey except with a few big banks. But as it was the Bread process was perhaps the quickest, smoothest I've experienced opening a CD. Perhaps trouble might come if you have to call?

No Troubles Here

I have opened several CD's with Bread in the past few months. I'll agree their telephone response is not very fast. If I need something done I just leave a chat message and in a day or two they tell me what I need to do. After opening a CD I have added a joint owner and changed the interest to be sent monthly to an external account. I just fill out the requested form and mail it in and they make the change. As long as you stick with the basics they are fine. I know the EWP is high but what do you expect? The bank is going out on a limb to guarantee a rate and expects to be compensated if you don't live up to your end.

Zero Issues

I have two accounts with Bread and have never had one problem of any kind when opening or since then either. Learn how to work with the website and internet or stick with full service banks that do everything for you but pay almost nothing in interest. It isn't complicated at all folks.

Good So Far... Just Opened Savings

After reading mixed reviews I did notice that many of the negative ones are from people using their credit card service and most of those were not real recent so took a chance on their savings account. After maybe opening accounts at 100 banks/CUs over the past years and learning to hate the process I have to say their signup was the quickest and easiest I ever did. Then I realized I didn't see info about a beneficiary, tried calling them but their lines were busy and I didn't want to wait so sent a message from my account. Sooner than I expected I got a reply and received the form for a beneficiary, filled it out and returned it. All went smoothly. Hope it stays that way. The ACH deposit I made showed up there in my account in 2 days! Was tempted to give 5 stars but I rarely do that. May up it later if that's possible after I see how things go. UPDATE: I've made several transfers in and out of the bank with no delays or issues, however I am having a problem getting anyone there to let me know about my beneficiary status. I uploaded a form as asked and then got a reply that it wasn't completed. Didn't see anything incomplete and got no response to questions about it, but uploaded it again... still can't get a response and calling is almost impossible for me as I have piss-poor cell signal here. But they did finally respond apologizing for delays caused by their recent rate increases and unprecedented activity, which I can accept. NOTE: RE $5000 outbound transfer limit they told me this.... "The current transfer limit is the default amount that is set for all accounts upon opening. After the account has been open for 90 days, a request for an online banking transfer limit increase can be submitted for up to $100K. An ACH transfer may be initiated on your behalf by one of our associates in any amount up to the available balance in your account. You will submit your request by calling us at 833-755-4354 or sending us a message here with the amount you would like to transfer along with the verified account you would like to have the funds transferred to."
