I'm reading all of these poor reviews and I don't understand where they're coming from. The only issue at all that I have with Axos bank is trying to get ahold of their customer service. I HATE these "robots" that try to handle your problem. When I do get through to customer service I have someone with an accent so heavy I can't understand them. Luckily I don't need to contact customer service very often. I use their message center, I always receive a reply within 24 hours and that usually is sufficient for what I need. I get paid early, I don't have any fees to worry about, it's going on 3 years now and I've never had a problem.

My full SSN was sent in an encrypted PDF to an unverified email address that is not mine. I tried to notify their compliance department, have left several messages, and haven't received any follow-up from any one in their compliance department. I reached out to senior executives on many channels. Most messages have been ignored. One reply promised that the application would be deleted from their system but I've never heard from them again and that email address continues to receive follow-up about that application.

Axos is the best bank I have ever had, and I have used banks such as Bank of America, Wells Fargo, local banks where I lived, etc. I switched to Axos 2 years ago and I have had NO problems. NO fraud issues. NO fees every time I turn around! I have a checking and savings with Axos and I pay NO MONTHLY MAINTENANCE FEE, ATM FEES are REFUNDED, NO OVERDRAFT FEES...do I really need to say more??!!

For one you cannot use your account between the hours of 12 AM and 4 AM, due to maintenance. then I had a very inconvenient experience with access bank.I de posited a check from my employer they then put a hold onto my account five days later they closed my account and I am now waiting for the remaining funds to be sent to my address . DO NOT USE THIS bank ! It is not convenient , Does not accommodate their customers for inconvenience, it lacks communication and it’s unsatisfactory. you’ll be sure to be unsatisfied!

Having opened a small biz account with Axos Bank fully online, I expected a couple of hiccups but NOTHING quite like the level of disappointing customer service I have experienced! Aside from messing up my address for months, I still have not received the starter checks promised when I opened the account over 6 months ago. In fact, they claim they attempted to mail the first box out, yet I never received it and there was no confirmation it was returned undeliverable. Aside from that, the only way to submit a bank wire transfer is through secure message on their website. Unless you click a fairly unnoticeable greyed out button to upload the attachment after selecting it you will send dozens of messages without your attachment actually included even though it appears it has been. On top of that, if you are submitting an important transfer and they reject it for any multiple number of reasons, they don't even call to notify you, you can only find out by logging in to your bank account and viewing the secure messages. They like to keep reminding me how they were rated in by Forbes though.....it's sad how low Forbes standards must be sinking these days to include a company like this one! After 6 months I am still having issues with accessing MY money....liquidity I NEED to run my business. STAY AWAY from this nightmare of a bank at all costs...when it comes to managing your money, you need a banker not a surferboy!

Axos Bank stole my entire retirement account, over $500k. I transferred my funds via ACH from another Bank. 2 weeks later, they debited my account THREE times for the total amount of my retirement account, overdrawn my account by $250k & When I called to point out error they closed my account. I am frantic. I've reported elder abuse. I've filed complaints with every government agency known to man & there is no help available. Axos literally stole my money. Admitted tat it was a banking error in writing & on a recorded line & now refuses to return my money! How can this be?!

Suspends my debit card and doesn’t send emails to me. Limits my withdrawals of MY MONEY daily. Fraud department is just that. A Fraud. Customer service is a hired department also and they can’t talk to fraud who cannot talk to the bank who apparently talks to no one. The WORST BANK IN MY WORLD FOR SURE. If I could give them a negative rating I would but instead I complained to The OCC and have a case ongoing against this bank from Hell. Oh, the app is worthless. Can’t change addresses and won’t accept a phone number their IT people didn’t allow for. Ie foreign phone numbers won’t be allowed. I am so sick of this bank that once my auto pay stuff is moved, I will drop them like toxic waste: Appropriately and posted with warning labels. Oh BTW Axos has a great AI service to respond to these. Here it is now:

Recently transferred some money into Axos bank, after being dormant for a while. Transferred in more than a week ago, and suffered from the same 5 business-day long hold as everybody else is talking about. I will be moving my money out of here asap. This is much longer than the norm in the banking industry (Chase offers real-time or next-day, some others offer 3-day, but never seen a 5-day).

I have had this account with AXOS for a year. The stress and frustration of having this bank makes it the most expensive bank out there. I have had several unreasonable charges and it is impossible to contact anyone at this bank. They say they are an online bank and you can only contact them by secure messaging. My last message to them was on April 8. It was because they charged me two $30 stop payment charges for the same transaction. They replied back on April 29. 21 days to respond. The letter was from someone at a Philippines call center in poor English saying "I will surely assist you." Then they wrote they apologized for the delayed response because of the high volume of queries they get. Then they wrote, "you placed 2 stop-payments on XX date by filling out a form. This is why we cannot remove the charges. Thank you for your patience." So if you were a customer, you would have to write back and wait another 3 weeks to hear their response. Their incompetence has cost me so much trouble and because their bill pays never arrive, problems with the court. They take no responsibility. Don't believe any of the 5 star reviews on any of the review sites as they are paid for. Trust any negative reviews and pay attention to the patterns. I was stupid and asked myself how bad could they be when I saw negative reviews. I'm kicking myself now. This is a scam bank that at the end of the day is full of charges and will cost you in frustration, lost time, and financially. Their EVO voice system is almost as bad as their foreign call centers. When you need your money or have to pay someone on time, more than likely you will lose. Read the B-B-B and trust-pilot reviews. Pay attention to AXOS replies, fake 5 star reviews and the similarities of well written negative reviews. I can't imagine this bank not being the next bank to fail. Be very careful.

Every single deposit, either via mobile deposit or ATM, takes up to a WEEK to clear. This is the ONLY bank in America that does this, and I have ZERO idea how the company has stayed in business for as long as it has. I would NEVER recommend this establishment to ANYBODY. Soon as my most recent check clears? I’m closing my account. SHAME ON YOU AXOS FOR HOLDING MONEY THAT ISNT YOURS TO HOLD!!!
